History
| 1982: | The publishing division of Gordon & Gotch Computer Centre Ltd was created in 1982 and the 2 directors of have given continuous service since that date. The first products were sold under the ‘Astra’ brand. Subscriptions, advertising space booking and wholesale distribution were the frontline products. The company was then based in Staines, Middlesex. |
| 1989: | Trace plc bought out Gordon & Gotch Computer Centre Ltd and relocated the publishing division to St. John’s Street in London. |
| 1992: | Gordon & Gotch Publishing Ltd has been trading since 14th January 1992 following a management buy-out of the division. |
| 1994: | Relocated from St. John’s Street, London to Slough in Berkshire. |
| 1999: | User Group started. Has held 2 meetings every year since. |
| 2001: | Astra Elite launched to create 1 system and 1 database using a SQL Server. |
| 2004: | Web XML integration module launched. |
| 2005: | Relocated to Wokingham, Berkshire. |
| 2007: | Myriad .NET launched - including CRM, advertising, books, subscriptions, reader enquiry and sales ledger. |
| 2007: | Web SOAP integration module launched. |
| 2009: | Wholesale Distribution module launched. |
The company is wholly owned by the directors and other personal shareholders (including all staff) and has been in a good trading position since its formation.
